Farmer Dave Announces Malden CSA Sign-Ups
Interested in another way to get those vegetables we're all supposed to be eating? Those who sign up with Farmer Dave can pick up fresh produce weekly in Malden Center.
Article, info, and text provided by Farmer Dave's:
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and puts you “the consumer” in direct relationship with the production of your food. By paying for your produce upfront you become a “shareholder” on the farm’s yearly harvest. And each week you receive a portion of your share. Also, you are helping the Earth by buying local as the farm is located in Dracut, Massachusetts.
You can sign up or learn more at www.farmerdaves.net. Vegetable shares start mid-June and ends in late Oct and Fruit Share starts early August and ends late October.
Pick up is Friday 3:30pm-6:30pm at First Parish in Malden, 2 Elm Street (near the Beebe School and Malden Center).
Want to see the Farm?? There is a Spring Open house on Sat. May 5th and Sun. May 6th from 9am 4pm at the Bronx Farm Stand in Dracut, MA. You can ask your CSA questions and tour the green houses.
If you have any questions, please contact Josh Smith, firstname.lastname@example.org or Farmer Dave at email@example.com or 978-349-1952. We also have a group on Facebook, “Friends of Malden Community Supported Agriculture” where if you were interested in splitting a share you might find someone who you can do that with.
