City-Wide Survey Open to Residents Today
Christenson seeks citizen input for his new administration.
The following was submitted by Mayor-Elect Gary Christenson.
Mayor-Elect Gary Christenson announced the members of the eleven-member Transition Team that will assess four aspects of the city before he takes office on January 2nd.
Greg Lucey, previously announced as the Transition Chair, will head up a team composed of Liz Hart, Patrick Hayes, Mai Du, Craig Spadafora, Maria Luise, Mostafa Elbadaoui, Judi Bucci, Stephen Winslow, Teddy Louis-Jacques, Kathleen Manning Hall, and Kevin Duffy.
“I am very happy with the caliber of the team as we have drawn professionals from the ranks of the residents, the business community, and elected officials and I know that they are up to the task that I have charged them with,” said Mayor-Elect Christenson.
The four areas to be assessed are (1) resident communication with city government, (2) experiences on doing business in Malden, (3) the Mayor’s Housing Task Force, and (4) overall operations of city government.
Residents are invited to participate through an online survey regarding communication with city government by going to www.cityofmalden.info.
Area businesses are invited to share their views on doing business in Malden by visiting an online survey at www.cityofmalden.biz.
“We are hoping to get a tremendous response from residents and business owners so we can identify clear plans of action for addressing these topics on day one,” stated Christenson.
“As I said repeatedly on the campaign trail, communication is the key and we’d like residents to tell us how they want to communicate.”
