Armed Robbery Reported At Linden Convenience Store

Unofficial police scanner reports indicated Linden Convenience Plus was robbed just after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

 

An armed robbery was reported at Linden Convenience Plus store Tuesday night, though official details on the crime were not immediately available.

According to unofficial police scanner transmissions, the suspect was described as a hispanic male, approximately 5'7” tall, wearing a black jacket, bright red scarf, a blue hat and jeans.

He reportedly fled in an unknown direction just after 8:30 p.m.

Over the weekend there was a story about a home in MELROSE that was sprayed with gunfire in a drive-by shooting, someone inside narrowly missed getting shot. Crime is everywhere.

Is that the worst that has happened in Melrose in the past five years or more? We don't hear much about that sort of thing in Melrose.
Even if that did happen over the weekend, Malden violent crime volume has Melrose beat by a country mile and more... Not even close.

We should start a lottery to bet when the next major crime will hit the town, I say it's the day after the Pat's playoff. Any other bets out there.

@ Tracy great Idea like a prediction page would be great. Like how many robberies,rapes,assaults,gun violence and stuff like that. Ok me first..I betcha there will be over 12 more store robberies in this city in 2013.
