5 Things You Need to Know Today, April 26

What's worth knowing for Tuesday.

Today is Tuesday, April 26. Here are five things you need to know:

Eye on the sky: It’ll be a cloudy one today, with a chance of showers or thunderstorms today. Expect highs in the mid-50’s.

Maplewood Tick Tock: The Maplewood Fire Station is suddenly the city’s biggest political football, with city councilors, fire officials and the Mystic Valley Charter School staking out different positions over the building’s future. We break down the recent activity surrounding the building here.

Stand Against Racism: Malden Patch lent a flip cam to the YWCA last week, and the girls there went out to collect video for the You Said It feature. The project was part of the YWCA’s Stand Against Racism program, and the kids did a great job asking Maldonians their thoughts about racism. Be sure to check back each day this week as we add more videos. Want to join the conversation? You can comment on the videos or upload your own!

Sing, sing a song: Song and Rhyme Time returns to Malden Public Library. Bring your wee ones in at 10:30 a.m. for storytelling fun.

Stretching toward health: Yoga Dance at the Senior Center give you the increased flexibility of yoga with the aerobic workout of a dance session. Join the class and enjoy some healthy living at 6:30 p.m..
