As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Pioneer Charter School of Science planned events to raise funds for cancer research. In order to promote breast cancer awareness and raise funds for research, students organized the Be Bold/Be Bald event as well as the Student Celebrity Bake Off.

For the Be Bold/Be Bald fundraiser participants wore a bald cap in honor of those who have lost their hair in the struggle against cancer. Students gathered donations from friends and family who have agreed to sponsor them, and those donations go to the charity of the student’s choice.
