Dunkin' Donuts Donates $2K to Malden Teen Enrichment Center
Craig Medeiros, a Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee in Malden, recently donated $2K to help open the doors of the new Malden Teen Enrichment Center (MTEC). The MTEC is currently under construction and was born from a group of city officials who felt Malden needed a welcoming, structured, safe environment for social interaction and fun, meaningful activities for teens. The center will be used as this type of environment when it opens its doors this winter.
To help with necessary start-up and supply costs, Dunkin’ Donuts donated funds in an effort to help get the center up and running. Dunkin’ Donuts, Malden High School students, MTEC representatives and city officials, including Mayor Gary Christenson, recently celebrated the donation with a check presentation at the site of the new center.
"We're thrilled to help the youth of Malden through our donation to the Malden Teen Enrichment Center," said Craig Medeiros, Dunkin' Donuts franchisee. "As a member of the Malden community, we appreciate any opportunity to give back to the place that has given us so much. We're excited to see the great impact the center will have on this community and look forward to its grand opening."
The MTEC is still in need of funds to help open its doors to teens of the community. Please email MaldenTeenEnrichmentCenter@gmail.com for more information about how you can help the cause.
