Please join us for the 13Th Annual Remebrance Tree Lighting - Wed. 12/5! Choir starts at 5:30
This ceremony, early in the traditional holiday season, soon after Veterans Day, presents an opportunity both to honor loved ones who are with us and to remember those who have passed away.
Mayor Christenson will light the tree, and the names of loved ones will be read by invited clergy, and local officials including Senator Katherine Clark. As always, there will be music and possibly a visit from Santa. Refreshments will be provided by Dunkin Donuts and New England Coffee. Malden Access Television will be recording the event for rebroadcast on their cable channels.
Once again the Malden Chamber of Commerce (MCoC) is partnering with the Oak Grove Improvement Association (OGIA) to sponsor the event. OGIA will share with the Chamber the proceeds from this event.
If any person, family or organization would like to honor or remember someone at the Remembrance Tree Lighting Ceremony, they should submit a form to the Chamber of Commerce. Forms can be downloaded from the Chamber and OGIA websites:
All names and payments must be received no later than Monday, December 3rd.
